Pregnant Thor headcanons
- Thor spends the entire first trimester looking obsessively at himself in the mirror waiting for his belly to start growing. He does this with a mixture of dread and excitement, but when he finally sees it all he feels is overwhelmed.
- The first time Thor tells Loki that the baby is kicking and he puts his hand on his belly to feel it, Loki’s face goes through every possible expression before he manages anything close to neutral. But he remains speechless for most of an hour and he refuses to stop touching Thor at all the entire day. Thor is satisfied.
- At some point he gives up completely on his old clothes and starts wearing tunics. All off a sudden a lot of the noblemen that used to look at him with badly disguised envy start blushing and averting their eyes when they cross paths.
- When the bump in Thor’s belly can’t be denied anymore, Loki is Smug. All the time. People thought they knew what that looked like before. They didn’t.
- When he enters the second trimester, he loses control of his powers for a week. It rains without reprieve and when it finally stops all the trees start blooming out of season.
- When he’s 7 or 8 months into the pregnancy, Thor becomes much more careful with everything he does. He’s less belligerent, more thoughtful, to the point that one night his friends jokingly say that he should stay pregnant all the time if he’s going to become so much easier to deal with. And it is a joke, Thor knows that, but somehow he knows to immediately look at Loki and his brother is staring at his belly with that shine in his eyes that tell him he’s having Ideas.
- He has cravings ALL THE TIME. Loki pretends to be annoyed when he’s sent out in search of Vanaheim’s most obscure dessert at ungodly hours of the night. But secretly he’s so satisfied that he’s the one extracting those pleasure sounds that Thor makes once the craving is satisfied.
- They’ll deny it but when their baby girl is born Thor and Loki can’t stop crying for an hour. They squish together in Thor’s bed because none of then will give up on holding their daughter, so they lay with her resting carefully over the both of them.
